Xterra makes an entire line of inflatable paddleboards, the white “Cloud” being their lightest. This Xterra Inflatable SUP is ideal for travel, due to its smaller size and lighter weight. However, it’s compact size also makes it better suited for people who weigh less than 200 lbs.
The Cloud SUP has several features that I like, but also some features that aren’t as great. Let’s go over them:

This shorter 10-foot SUP only weighs 29 lbs and is easy to travel with. It comes with a heavy duty backpack and an SUP paddle that breaks down into 3 short segments. Therefore, you can deflate and roll up your board, then stick all of your paddling gear into the pack and get on your way.

Compared to a surfboard, you don’t have to pay extra to carry this SUP on a plane. Nor do you have to worry about it getting dinged and damaged on the flight. In addition, you don’t have to get a roof rack for your car. We are saving so much money already! =)
3. Fins Let You Use the SUP in Different Ways
The multiple fin options provide more versatility in how you use your stand up paddleboard. For instance, the longer tracking fin will help your board glide in a straight line on long-distance excursions.
On the other hand, you can remove the longer tracking fin and just use the 2 short outer fins when riding river rapids or touring where you want the ability to make quick turns.
4. Deck Stays Cooler in Hot Temperatures.
The light color of this board helps it stay cool to the touch when you are out in the sun all day. Darker materials can sometimes heat up when out of the water, making them a little more challenging to move.
5. Built-in GoPro Mount on Front of SUP.
The front of the Xterra inflatable SUP features a convenient GoPro mount. Video your adventures hands-free with no worries if you fall off the board into the water.
6. Stable Surface Easier for Stand-Up Paddlers to Balance On.
The 6″ thick design makes the surface extra stable to stand on. Plus, the SUP rides higher out of the water, which many people (and pets) prefer. Also, the sturdier surface allows beginners to feel more comfortable and learn the sport more easily.
Xterra Boards 10′ Inflatable SUP: White VS Black
In addition to the white version, Xterra also makes a 10′ Black SUP. What’s the difference?
- The 10′ black Xterra SUP has an extra layer of material making it more durable, heavier and able to carry more weight (250 lb capacity).
- As you’d expect, the black SUP costs about $100 more.
- However, it the black model doesn’t include the GoPro mount.
Cons of this Xterra Inflatable Paddleboard:
1. SUP has Lower Weight Capacity:
The shorter, smaller size of this paddleboard means that it can’t support lots of weight. Therefore, larger adults or people who want to paddle with their dogs may want to choose a different SUP, like the Isle Airtech. (It can support up to 300 lbs.)
2. The White Surface Gets Dirty Easily.
Although I like the lighter color of this SUP for temperature reasons, the white material shows scuff marks more easily. Having said that, you can usually remove marks and dirt without a lot of effort with these recommended cleaners.
3. The Paddleboard Looks Plain.
This black and white SUP doesn’t really have much color or special look to it. The basic design may appeal to some, however, if you want something more colorful, you may prefer the Z-Ray Inflatable SUP.
